Ep 16: Reflections: The Container

Sometimes we arrive somewhere new carrying an old instruction manual in our hands.

And then we wonder why page 47 is telling us to turn left… when there is no left...

After conducting two rounds of The Container, a class from my Energetic Edge segment, I thought I’d sit down and share some of the thoughts, questions and rather unexpected moments that led me to create this class in the first place.

Because what happens when the tools, explanations and familiar questions that once served us beautifully are no longer necessarily the ones we need for the landscape we’re standing in now?

There’s also the slightly unexpected story of my mother’s spice containers, a conversation over dinner that brought the whole thing back around, and a tiny glimpse into the question that eventually became The Container.

Get yourself a coffee or tea, press play, and come join me for this little after class conversation about old manuals, new landscapes, energetic edges… and why sometimes the most interesting ideas arrive while you’re standing in the kitchen looking at spice containers.

A little note about this recording: This one is conversational, organic and intentionally left with its natural pauses, laughs and little imperfections. That’s increasingly how I like these after class reflections to be. Less polished presentation, more sitting down together and having a conversation.

Enjoy the conversation!
